Questions
- Can I hire baristas on a visit visa?
- Someone on a visit visa may not work until the employer gets a work permit and their status is changed to an employment residence. Hiring them is normal and common, but the permit comes first, then they start.
- Should I hire directly or through a manpower company?
- 1. Hire directly: you are the sponsor. You get a MOHRE work permit and residence visa for the person and pay those costs. Best for long-term staff. 2. Manpower supply (labour supply) company: the agency employs the worker and holds their visa; you pay the agency a monthly rate per worker. Fast, flexible, good for projects, seasons and trial periods. Use only MOHRE-licensed agencies.
- Do baristas pay any fee?
- No. In the UAE the employer pays recruitment, permit and visa costs, and Asli Hire never allows fees to workers.
